DEAD WOMAN RISES AT HER FUNERAL
A woman who was ready to be put to rest for all time was unexpectedly found
    to be alive and breathing.
According to the BBC, 76-year-old Ecuadorian Bella Montoya lost away from a
stroke last week. According to her death certificate, she had
"cardiorespiratory arrest due to suffering from an unspecified
cerebrovascular disease." A funeral was quickly planned by her distraught
family to say goodbye to Bella.
She spent several hours in her own coffin during the wake. But when her
family members started the process of dressing her in preparation for
burial, they were shocked to see signs of life.
Gilbert Balberán, Bella's son, stated to the neighbourhood newspaper El
Universo: "My mother started to move her left hand, open her eyes, and open
her mouth. Breathing was a struggle for her. Social media video shows the
scene when Ms. Montoya struggled for breath in front of worried
    spectators.
The moment Bella needed help, emergency services were quickly called, and
Bella was taken to a local hospital quickly. Before transferring her to the
intensive care unit, paramedics checked her vital signs.
She is still receiving medical attention at the same hospital that
initially declared her dead, according to the BBC.
Gilbert told El Universo that the doctor told him at midday that his mother
was no longer at the facility. Gilbert was shocked by the sudden turn of
events that occurred within a few hours. When a different doctor saw me, he
gave her oxygen. She was intubated and sent to an ICU unit where she is
    being watched.
I am gradually accepting what has happened, he continued. My only wish
right now is for my mother's health to get better. She needs to be with me
    and alive.
Ecuador's health ministry has launched an investigation into the incident
in an effort to determine how a woman was pronounced dead when she was still
alive. Bella went into cardiorespiratory arrest, and the ministry released a
statement stating that attempts to revive her were futile and that a doctor
on duty had determined Bella had passed away.
The Daily Mail reports that Gilbert plans to accuse the hospital of
carelessness in an incident report that will be submitted to the local
    prosecutor's office.
